Leadership with a Smile
Dave has been an enterprise software product and services leader for 30 years. A graduate of Purdue University, he started as a programmer for Johnson Controls, then spent time as a sales engineer in telecom software. Dave joined Arbortext as a sales engineer before transitioning to product management. He spearheaded several new technical initiatives and the strategic partnerships with PLM companies which led to the successful acquisition by PTC.
At Quark Software, he led the product team's transition from desktop design software to an automated suite of enterprise content tools including authoring, component content management, automated multi-channel design and publishing, and web and app content delivery solutions used by some of the largest content publishers in banking, research, government, and high-tech.
Dave led a collection of services teams at SoftServe focused on growing enterprise software configuration and customization services in Salesforce, Web Content and eCommerce solutions, API Management, Low Code Solutions, and more. In 2.5 years under Dave's leadership, the team grew revenue 400% with nearly 30% contribution margin.
He's helped multiple companies make the transition from legacy, on-premises software to cloud SaaS in technology, pricing, and marketing. Including balancing the complex issues of technical debt, quality, usability, and scalability in content management, media industry-specific resource management, and more.
Dave has been involved with over 20 M&A activities -both buying and selling- and providing business and technology insight that has resulted in an 90% success rate for completed acquisitions.
